Logistics

Galp Energia manages vital transportation infrastructures and storage facilities of crude oil and oil products in the Iberian Peninsula

Our Iberian logistics network comprises several wholly owned storage parks, access to ports of Sines and Leixões, and equity holdings in logistics companies in Portugal and Spain.

With a 65 per cent stake, Galp Energia is the largest shareholder in CLC, the Portuguese logistics company that owns the only multiproduct pipeline in Portugal. The other shareholders are BP (20 per cent) and Repsol Portuguesa, SA (15 per cent).

CLC's pipeline is 147km long and has a transportation capacity for four million tonnes of oil products sequentially. CLC also has storage facilities in Aveiras with a total capacity of 250,000m³.

Galp Energia also has a 5 per cent stake in Spain’s leading logistics company, CLH, giving the Company access to 39 storage units (6.4 million m³ of capacity) and 3,475km of pipeline. The greater part of the storage facilities are connected to the pipeline network and CLH transports approximately 25 million tonnes of oil products annually.

The Iberian logistic network is supported by the storage terminal at Valência, Spain, and several storage parks spread across Portugal. Galp Energia has a 75 per cent stake in Companhia Logística de Combustíveis da Madeira, SA (CLCM), which explores Madeira's storage depot park, and a 60 per cent stake in Sigás, a propane gas storage unit in Sines.

Our logistics network is completed by the exploration concessions granted by the ports of Leixões and Sines. The latter has a capacity for ships of up to 350,000 DWT and is equipped with the largest liquid bulk terminal in Portugal.

Galp Energia's robust logistic system promotes efficient product delivery and guarantees high flexibility in sales and distribution.
