Galp Energia has a modern refining system in the Iberian Peninsula that is connected to an efficient logistic network that supplies Portugal from the north to south and the Azores and Madeira archipelagos. Currently, with a total capacity of 330,000 barrels a day, the Sines and Matosinhos refineries process crude oil from over 16 countries to obtain a broad range of products, including gasoline and middle distillates.
The sale of refined products involves supplying the Portuguese and Spanish markets and exporting, mainly to the USA.
In 2010, Galp Energia processed 232,000 barrels a day in its refineries, 75% of full capacity.
