Galp Energia defined its social responsibility strategy from a diagnostic review of existing good practice in the Company, and the identification of situations to be improved and new practices to be adopted.
Once the review had been conducted and several stakeholders had been heard, four key strategic areas were defined for action within Galp Energia’s social responsibility area:
- Environment and energy efficiency;
- Road safety and prevention;
- Health and well-being.
Galp Energia’s social responsibility aims to manage the organization’s concerns and projects of a social nature, by interacting with all the interested parties and stakeholders, and to promote good practice and the principles of ethics and transparency in the Company, combining the involvement of all employees for this purpose, namely with regard to corporate voluntary work, by increasing emphasis on the internal volunteer programme, Galp Voluntária.
